Deputy president Dr. William Ruto yesterday met with 16 MPs who were kicked out of parliament recently in what members allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta call “sanitizing the house”
In his comments, the DP said. ” I had lunch with Jubilee MPS who were recently assigned other responsibilities in the party. I thanked them for their exemplary services to the party as well as the nation at large…SOTE PAMOJA”.
This was also confirmed by his lead defender and former Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen who said that they had a meeting with the DP at Jubilee Asili Center. However, he was very quick at defending the accusation by adding that the place is a center for all Jubilee Party members who believe in the original idea and are not only parallel to the Jubilee Party.
As the logo for Jubilee Asili awash social media, Kenyans including political leaders shared their thoughts on Twitter. Hon Otiende Amollo commented, “whatever Tangatanga are using must be stopped”. #Jubilee_Asili is moe popular than THE @WiperMovement and 2TheKanuParty_Ke combined yet it was founded less than 24 hours ago.
In what seemed to be mainly projected to the DP, Lord Abraham Mutai requested the Jubilee_Asili to be stopped. “The logo, colors, and the slogan, “Sote Pamoja” is plagiarised. It’s only a matter of time before it is shut down. If you want to form a parallel political party, be bold enough and move out. Otherwise, all these half-baked tactics are sickening and disgusting” he added.
In reply, The Hustler Nation asked Mutai to learn to do some research arguing that the old Jubilee used the UDF party logo but only changed the colors and nothing will stop Jubilee Asili.
This leaves us with the Question; Has the DP formed a new political party?
