Diamond Platinum’s Wasafi Records (WCB) has suffered another blow as one of the top recording artist Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa aka Rayvanny unveils his next record label after rumors that he is not in good terms with his boss.
The Bongo Flava artist, 26, has since not only been inactive on his social media but also not seen in the public limelight for unknown reasons.
The Tanzania’s top record label has been accused of exploitative contracts to its artists making other renowned artists to quit. They include Rich Mavoko and Harmonize.
However, during a recent interview with Tanzania’s Big Sunday Live Show, Rayvanny, while answering a question from one of his fans said: “Before I even say a word, Vanny Boy and Wasafi are for life. I want to first thank my management, WCB Wasafi; I greatly thank Diamond Platnumz for the far I have come and if I decided to have a lebel, I can even have about five of them. So, there is no way that I am leaving Wasafi to go to another label. Maybe I own about 10 labels under my name.”
Reliable sources at WCB indicate that Rayvanny might only be doing PR as he awaits to officially announce his exit from Wasafi.
