Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has this afternoon hosted the Maa community leaders drawn from Kajiado County in his office at Capitol Hill Centre , in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Rt. Hon. Odinga who is also the ODM Party Leader and AU High Representative for Infrastructure used the meeting to urge leaders to be cautious in their utterances and desist from sentiments which may result in creating ethnic tension.
He further noted that though the Mau Forest issue was a sensitive matter, leaders should exercise restraint and sobriety when handling the same. He noted with great concern the sudden upsurge in ethnic mobilization and arousal of ethnic tension by some leaders and asked Kenyans to be wary of such leaders.
Present at the meeting were Kajiado East MP Hon Peris Tobiko, former Governor Dr. David Nkedianye among others. Also in attendance was the ODM leadership led by Party Whip Hon. Junet Mohammed.
