The hashtag, ‘UHURUs Tough Choices’ was the talk of the day following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s decision to lift cessation of movement into and out of Nairobi, Mombasa and Mandera. However, curfew will remain for further 30days.

Former Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen took to social media registering his judgment saying: “Cessation of Movement in and out of Nairobi and Mombasa is a BIG MISTAKE.”

Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua said he agrees with the President saying the economy needs the opening very BADLY. He said: “Retaining the curfew is necessary and is what Governors advised. However, we will need to enforce, without fear or FAVOR, health regulations so that we do not see a Covid SPIKE”.

Royal Media Services Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai challenged the president to reimagine the economy and business models. He said we must together find new opportunities to face the challenges of tomorrow.

Kevin Munyui said the President is well aware of the hard fact that many sectors of the economy including aviation, horticulture, and hospitality among others are seriously hurting yet they are the major employee of huge number of people who are honest and hardworking.

Silver Joseph who was in a celebration mood said the day is finally here, extended 30 days for Dusk to Dawn curfew and cessation of movement in some cities has finally lapsed. It is now left for #PresidentUhuruKenyatta to either open the economy by uplifting all the restrictions and let people learn to live with the disease.
