Joel Veltman from Ajax became the first recruit to EPL as Brighton & Hove Albion led in confirming the transfer this summer. Joel landed at on 27th July, as announced by the club in its official Twitter account.
The 28 year old Netherlands defender has joined Brighton, who finished at position 15 with 41 points last season in a three-year deal. Brighton posted on its Twitter Account the photos of Veltman donning its jersey under the captioned, “The story so far.”
Manchester City was the second club in EPL side as it announced the signing of Ferran Torres from Valencia on August 4th. On its official Twitter Account, City posted: “Here we go! We’re delighted to announce the signing of Ferran Torres from Valencia on a five-year deal.”
The day, August 5th, it again announced the signing of Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake. Just like Torres, Ake signed a five-year deal.
City posted on its Twitter Account: “We’re excited to announce the signing of Nathan Ake from Bournemouth on a five-year deal.” In a rejoinder, Ake posted on his account that: “Very excited to join Manchester City. Can’t wait to get started!”
Manchester City was second with 81 points on last season’s table as Bournemouth narrowly got relegated after coming position 18 with 34 points in the league’s table last season.
