A number of tourist hotels are reopening soon after the announcement of normal services resume as a result of the easing of the lockdown by the Kenyan Government..
Serena Hotels Business Development Manager Pauline Mwangi said they have reopened sweetwaters Serena Camp located inside the Ol Pejeta conservancy in Laikipia county.
“We have followed all the Health safety Operating standards by opening of sweet waters camp”Pauline said.
In Mombasa Plaza Beach Hotel will reopen in the second week of July.The Hotel’s General Manager Denis Gwaro said that they took advantage of the Corona Season to carry out room upgrades adding that the Hotel which relies on both local and international tourists is looking in tapping into the local market to sustain its operations.
“We have prepared well to handle local and regional Tourists”Gwaro said.
The hotel hopes to benefit from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive for government ministries ,parastatals and agencies to conduct their meetings,seminars,workshops or team building activities in Hotels.
Four Other Mombasa Hotels,Pride Inn Paradise Beach Resort Convention center and spa,Flamingo by Pride Inn,Jocky Joka Apartment and Voyager Beach Resort have set 15th July as reopening dates.
